GoHighLevel Free Trial: What to Check Before Signing Up
Know the access, billing deadline, and possible activity costs before beginning your evaluation.

How long is the GoHighLevel free trial?
The official pricing page advertises a 14-day free trial. Its trial FAQ says you receive access to the features of your chosen tier. The same page’s disclaimer says billing begins automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel, and telecommunications or third-party usage fees may apply during it.
Read those statements together. The advertised trial is an opportunity to evaluate the selected plan; it is not an unconditional promise that every action you take will be free. Check the terms shown in your own signup flow before submitting it.
What does the official page say is included?
The chosen-tier wording matters. HighLevel lists CRM and pipelines, its website and funnel builder, forms, workflow automation, and booking calendars among the platform’s core features. The trial FAQ specifically mentions setting up an account, building funnels, and testing automations.
Capacity and advanced capabilities depend on the plan: Starter lists three sub-accounts; Unlimited and Agency Pro list unlimited sub-accounts. SaaS Mode and automated sub-account creation appear on Agency Pro. Choosing a trial does not make those tier distinctions disappear.
The page also separates optional add-ons from the plan cards. Do not assume that access to a tier includes every add-on or every usage charge. Confirm any paid feature you intend to activate before using it.
When does billing begin?
The pricing-page disclaimer says billing starts automatically after the free trial unless canceled. Its monthly subscription cards currently show Starter at $97/month, Unlimited at $297/month, and Agency Pro at $497/month. Those displayed monthly prices are not a quote for every billing interval or signup offer.
The FAQ says account cancellation is available from the dashboard. Before signing up, confirm the selected plan, billing interval, renewal amount, and exact trial end date. Set a reminder before the deadline and retain any cancellation confirmation if you decide against continuing.
We have not completed checkout or tested cancellation for this article. We do not establish card requirements, refund eligibility, or a precise cancellation screen sequence here. Confirm those details in the current signup terms or with support if they affect your decision.
Which usage fees should you check?
HighLevel’s pricing page marks email and SMS marketing, calling, and certain AI features as usage-based. Its fees FAQ also identifies phone numbers, messages, emails sent, and premium AI usage as costs outside the platform subscription. The trial disclaimer specifically warns that telecommunications or third-party usage fees may apply during the trial.
Before enabling a test that sends messages, makes calls, or uses a paid service, check the applicable rates and billing settings. Keep test volume small and deliberate. We do not quote per-message or per-minute rates because this guide has not verified the rates for your intended services and destination.
A practical trial checklist
- Before signup: choose a tier around the workflow you need to test and record the displayed billing terms.
- Before activity: confirm usage charges and assign one person to monitor the evaluation.
- During evaluation: build one form-to-pipeline workflow with test data and document the result. List any missing requirements.
- Before renewal: decide whether to continue based on that evidence, then confirm the account’s billing or cancellation status.
This is our suggested evaluation process, not a tested onboarding sequence. For a subscription-sales evaluation, read the SaaS Mode and white-labelling guide. For a platform shortlist, use our GoHighLevel vs ClickFunnels comparison.
