Pipedrive vs GoHighLevel for agencies

Published

The short answer

For a small agency choosing a system for its own sales pipeline, we would include Pipedrive in the shortlist. In our brief Premium trial, moving one sample deal to Meeting Completed created a Call activity with a due date. If you need separate client accounts alongside funnels and booking, GoHighLevel's published account allowances and feature list give you a reason to evaluate it.

Our Pipedrive use totalled about 15 minutes plus about 8 minutes over one day, 13 October 2026. We have tested nothing in GoHighLevel for this page. These recommendations are our assessment of that limited trial and the official product listings; we have no measured comparison of reliability, sales results or operating costs.

Published plans and capabilities

What we tested in Pipedrive

We started a 14-day Premium trial on 13 October 2026 and entered no billing details. The first session lasted about 15 minutes. We added the fake organisation "Sample Agency Co" and two fake leads, "Test Lead One" and "Test Lead Two", using example.com addresses. We stepped through the contacts, activities and deals setup flow.

The pipeline arrived with sample deals and pre-built stages. Across the log, the recorded stages were New Deal, Contact Made, Qualified, Meeting Completed, Negotiations started and Contract Signed. We did not create these stages or build a custom five-stage agency pipeline.

The second session was about 8 minutes, around 18:00 to 18:08 IST that same day. Automations were available on our Premium trial. We used the prebuilt "Schedule follow-ups when deals move stage" card to set Meeting Completed as the trigger stage and add a Call activity due in 3 days, with the option to skip weekends. There was no "Proposal sent" stage in this pre-built pipeline, so we used Meeting Completed. Setup took about 5 minutes, including reading.

We dragged the fake sample deal "[Sample] Organizational Change Management Program" from Contact Made to Meeting Completed. A Call activity appeared on the deal, due 16 October. That is the result we observed in this test. The rule was configured to skip weekends; the interval from 13 to 16 October did not cross a weekend, so this result does not establish how the rule behaves across one.

Navigation took some trial and error. The direct path /settings/automation opened automations. Guessed paths /automations and /settings/pipelines returned "Not found". The log records a pencil icon beside the pipeline name for editing; we did not test it.

The billing page showed Premium, a per-seat monthly price after the trial, and a 14-day trial. We did not enter billing details or click its "Skip trial" button. The annual price in the comparison comes from the public pricing page checked on 13 October, independently of that trial-screen observation.

What we did not test

We did not build the custom five-stage pipeline, test the email and calendar sync screen, or inspect the trial feature limits list. We have no trial evidence here for those capabilities or allowances. One automation result gives us no basis to claim performance at scale or dependable operation over weeks.

We performed no GoHighLevel product testing for this page. Its prices, account allowances and capabilities are research-based statements from its official pricing page.

Choosing for your agency

If your immediate task is following up on the agency's own prospects, try your actual stages and next-action rules in Pipedrive. Our sample test gives you one specific workflow to reproduce. Check email and calendar sync yourself before relying on them, since our trial did not cover them.

If you need client sub-accounts and a funnel-to-booking process, test that setup in GoHighLevel and check its account access rules. We would ask both vendors to demonstrate the same inquiry and follow-up process, using the configuration the agency intends to buy. Confirm the resulting bill and who will maintain the workflow before subscribing.
